A job we Completed on a New Build Office in Belfast, This Building had been wired by the electrical contractor on site for Data but they ran them back to a cupboard that didn’t have enough room to install the required Comms Cab. So We had to think on our feet and come up with a solution that maintained the integrality of the cables without splicing and relocating them. Thankfully the cupboard beside the original location was deep enough but the cables didn’t reach.
We ended up installing a 2U mini rack to mount the patch panels to the wall and terminate the cables there. Then in went a 12U Comms Cabinet that was modified to have 4 Castor wheels mounted below to allow for flexibility and movement.
In went a Host of UniFi Devices Including Cloud Managed Router, Switches and 4x WiFi 6 Access Points enabling Full WiFi coverage and every data point live with PoE ready for the Servers and VoIP system to be deployed.
