Well what a week that’s been. It started off with everything hitting the fan as EE have been out recently at a number of their masts all over the country doing maintenance work on their network resulting in a number of MikroTik antennas we installed quite a long time ago going completely offline. Now we stopped doing 4g installations over 2 years ago and don’t involve ourselves with it anymore but we had to find a solution to get people back online. Thankfully we soon realised that the antennas needed a firmware update so we had to start arranging for this to be done and it’s still a work in progress!
While all this was going on, we were on a site in Banbridge doing a big old IP CCTV and IP gate automation installation. Our client here had a system in place from years ago which hasn’t worked properly in a long time so out it all came and in went 7 HikVision IP ColorVu cameras and a HikVision 2 module gate control unit with 1 internal station. We were helped and hindered by some existing wiring but it all came together very nicely today
