Step 2: The Heart of the HQ – A Full UniFi Stack

To manage this network with enterprise-grade security and maximum efficiency, we deployed a full, centralized Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem.

Our tailored hardware stack for this project included:

• UniFi Dream Machine Pro (UDM Pro): Serving as the ultimate “brain” of the operation. This enterprise-grade gateway handles everything from advanced firewall security and threat management to routing and local data storage.

• 48 Port Pro Max Switch: A high-performance switch providing robust power-over-ethernet (PoE) delivery to hardware across the office, ensuring massive data throughput with zero bottlenecking.

• Next-Gen Security with G6 Cameras: We surrounded the property with UniFi’s latest G6 security cameras, providing the construction company with ultra-crisp, high-definition surveillance across their entire perimeter.

• UniFi Viewport: To make monitoring as seamless as possible for management, we integrated a UniFi Viewport. This smart device allows security teams to stream high-density live camera feeds directly to an external monitor using a standard Cat6 cable—completely bypassing the need for a separate, laggy computer workstation.

The most advanced internal hardware stack in the world is only as good as the internet line feeding it. To tie this entire infrastructure together, we provisioned and connected a dedicated Netii Broadband line.

By pairing ultra-fast, symmetrical fibre speeds directly with the UniFi stack, the HQ now boasts lightning-fast download and upload speeds, flawless video conferencing, and instantaneous remote file access for teams out on construction sites.
